Señor Menzies
Arbutus Sombrero with 48 Yellow Cedar Pom poms. 24" brim with a 7" crown, shellack, acrylic paints, lacquer spray finish.

Electronic Measuring Device
This device uses a magnet on the inside of the hat to measure the thickness. You can read more on that on blog page.
Branding The Hat Band
We made the branding power supply and hand tool for embellishing our work. Here we are using it to brand the hat band into the wood.
The Drying Jig
Once the hat has been turned, wet sanded and the hat band has been completed it's time to go into the drying jig for shaping and drying to it's final shape.
