Turned from Arbutus (Madrone) and fitted with a Maple veneer ribbon and Yellow Heart flower. The flower and the stand parts were created on our Rose Engine lathe. The hat if turned while the wood is green, then shaped and dried in a jig. Once the drying process is complete the raffia pattern is created by branding followed with a couple of coats of milk paint.
